I just bought a load of VNA (Very Nearly Almost) magazines and they are some of the nicest magazines I've ever owned. I first picked one up years ago in my local comic shop and have been trying to keep up. The latest issue # 21 has arrived featuring the rather seductive artwork of Miss Van along with issue # 20, 18 & 17, all of which feature amazing photographs and images of some of the best graffiti & street art around. But VNA isn't exclusively graffiti, you will find work by prolific painter & tattooist Shaun Barber next to UK graff legends like Mode2 and Remi Rough, Josh Keyes animal paintings will feature along with work by The London Police!
A lot of time and effort obviously goes into each issue and they don't just concentrate on the London scene although based in the big smoke, instead they feature an international roster of top talent along with photos of graffiti, tags, stikers and street art from cities across the globe. They've also started to produce video's to go with each issue, highlighting a tale from each cover artist and giving a little insight into their creative worlds and have a pretty amazing blog. Its this mix which makes VNA essential reading, I just hope I don't miss anymore issues as once they're gone, they're gone! Order em up here!
