An Exhibition Where Nothing Is Made by Amber Robertson @ Smart Gallery!

Amber Robertson is the latest graduate to show new work at the Smart Gallery in what has been a busy and productive year for Smart. Amber graduated from Grays School of Art in 2012 and has been quietly working towards her show for some time.

Amber's work focuses on process and materials and the largest piece from her show looks like it must have taken ages to set up, £1000's worth of 1p coins looks rather impressive when you see them laid out in their uniform piles. I heard about a slight mishap at the opening when someone accidentally walked right through it, scattering pennies all over the place. Thankfully it didn't take so long to set the coins up again. You can get a good insight into Amber's ideas and works from the video below and see some images of her work but be sure to see it for yourself!

This is your last chance to see the work before they move onto the next exhibition and also Fabric of the Land will be coming up soon so keep an eye on the Smart page!
