There seems to be a lot of people making very nice films with very nice cameras! And all with in Aberdeen or at least they started in Aberdeen. I just wanted to highlight two local film makers who both made my eyes happy today.
First up is Fraser Denholm, long time friend, some time collaborator and general good guy. Fraser has recently moved to Glasgow but has been up and down the road alot after finding a lot of work in the North East, ironic really but sure he's not complaining. You can check out his work on his Vimeo page HERE and also see his showreel below, I have been assured that the man cycling into the sea at the begining is not me but a high paid actor who recreated my glorious sea cycle a week later just for Fraser! Anyway for all your video need's go see Fraser!

Next up is Beyond The Brink, a climate change documentary from Aberdeen Uni student Ross Harrison. It doesn't really make any odds but Ross has made something quite amazing for someone so young, its really great to see a new generation of film makers coming through and being willing to take on challenging subjects such as climate change. You can see the trailer and the full film by clicking on the link above, or if you get a chance go see it at Aberdeen Uni, Suttie Centre lecture theatre from 1-2pm on Tuesday 7th or Kings College in KCG6 at the same time on Wednesday 8th December.
